Glazed chestnuts, Marrons Glaces is a tradition of France, it is a delicacy enjoyed particularly during the holidays.
Corsiglia’s marrons Glaces is considered to be the unsurpassed leader the best Marrons Glaces in the world. In 1870 Andre Corsiglia began to make Marrons Glaces in Marseille. Four generations later and still committed to tradition, they are making this famous delicacy.
In the traditional French method, these artisan confection chestnuts harvested from Turin, Italy are wrapped in muslin, in pairs to prevent breakage then soaked and conserved in syrupy Bourbon-Madagascar vanilla beans. In the final preparation, these chestnuts are removed from the syrup, drained, dried and wrapped individually in gold foil.
Marrons Glaces (candied chestnuts) is a natural product, free of additives and preservatives.
